~July 28th 1900. Charleston. At 10 a.m. we took the train for Coalburg then took a branch line rode to Acme. There started on our seven mile walk over the mountain arriving at Lawson. Ate supper with C.A. Thompson started about dark down the canyon gave out an appointment for a meeting. Got lost in the woods took off our shoes and stockings waded the creek. Came to the road we were tender footed and lots of rocks to go over. We stumbled around until 11 p.m. and came back to Bro. C.A. Thompsons. All well.~
