July 13th 1900


~July13th 1900. Meadow Branch, Lincoln Co. Weather moderate ate breakfast and continued on our journey. Crossed the Gumdote* river in a boat. Arriving at Bro. Mayfields at five o clock. Ate supper, a crowd came and we sang a few songs and had a good time.~


~ Guyandotte River,offshoot of the Ohio R.They had turned west again,Guyandotte is on the Western side of Lincoln county. There is no town called Meadow Branch,Im assuming the name was referring to a branch of the river.
